Art in Whitefield invited artists from across the UK to take part in ‘Art on a Postcard’, an exhibition showcasing artwork in the unique format of a standard postcard.
The open call attracted submissions from over 100 artists, bringing together a fantastic mix of emerging and established talent from across the UK. Artists were invited to submit work on any theme and in any medium, as long as it was postcard-sized.
The exhibition was curated by professional artists from Art in Whitefield and is now on display in the heart of Whitefield’s cultural centre at the headquarters of Besses o’ th’ Barn Brass Band.
Founded in 1818, Besses Brass Band is one of the world’s most historic and celebrated brass bands, providing a fitting and unique setting for this diverse collection of artwork.
